Is the new style hybrid mask the only option available for goalies? AFAIK it's the only option.....is "maskless" an option?

I haven't played FHM prior to the 1970s...are goalies "maskless" in the years prior to a mask being used in the NHL?


My suggestion/request - could we get a fiberglass style mask (or masks) made available as an option for goalies?


Ideally there'd be a few different styles and it would be modifiable so that paintjobs could be put on them by those with such modifying skills (not something I know how to do!), but even a plain fiberglass mask would be better than the modern style masks

Another possible option could be the mask could be on/over the face or it could be lifted up/resting on top of the head and showing the face

Appreciate you asking this, as I am wrapping up my historical jersey project I was going to attempt to do goalie masks and was wondering what to do for the days there were different styles and or none!

Also wondering what to do for players as well.... (I have helmets in there for now since no helmets is not an option.
