Game Logs are a year ahead
I run an online league and recently we finished our 2016 season and playoffs, and entered the off-season. Recently, I noticed that for any given random player, their game log now shows they played games in 2017, in most cases the dates are WAY off, the month and day or different, not just the year. Our league has not progressed to 2017, and are currently only in December 2016 in our off-season.
I checked the HTML files for a random player. The date indeed is in 2017, but the date links to a game box score. When I check the HTML file for that game box score, the date is the correct 2016 date. The game log for the player shows what I suspect is the correct opponent, but gives a 0-0 score. So somewhere along the way when the game is generating these HTML reports, it is pulling the wrong date and wrong opponent and putting it in the game log. The box score is correct, the player did play in that game. Does this make any sense? The problem is persistent throughout the entire league, at all levels. Only three major changes have occurred during the off-season: 1. Two feeder levels were added, as I mentioned. 2. I accidentally generated a schedule for 2017, but those games have not yet been played out. Now I cannot clear the schedule off because I'm not in the "pre-season" for next year. 3. I implemented a Rule 5 draft. Of those changes, I suspect that #2, generating the schedule has done something horribly wrong to the player's game logs. |

Further to my first post, and why I strongly suspect setting next year's schedule too soon is the problem, when I review the "Scores" from 2016 there are no games listed anywhere. If I check 2017 dates, there are numerous games listed. No box scores or replays for any of them, no scores for any of them, but there are players listed in the "performance of the day" area with game stats.
Is there any way to undo this? |
