Expansion Playoff Bug

I started an Expansion save using the Vegas Golden Knights and Quebec Nordiques as my expansion teams. It was going fine until the 2020/2021 season, After coming off a 23 win Campaign in my 3rd season the Golden Knights came flying out of the gate in 2020, posting 43 wins and securing an 8th seed playoff spot, In the first round i was up against 1st seeded Arizona, not an easy task, but this is where things got weird.. 3 games into my series, up 2 games to 1 i noticed in the playoff tree everyones series was 2-1, 3-0 etc.. except mine, which was still 0-0 after 3 games. I shrugged it off and kept going figuring it was a minor bug and it would fix itself in the next round.. after narrowly defeating the Coyotes in 7 games (4 of the games went to OT, 2 of those went to double OT), i checked again and it still showed 0-0. decided to sim to my next game to see what happens, but there is no next game. it just stop generating the games. sims up until June 22 (draft day) and then crashes the game. I spent a lot of time managing this team only for the save to now not work. I spent good money on this game, but this is now my 3rd different save that has run into constant crash issues, there's more bugs on FHM3 then FHM2, why release a game that's not complete? Ill be sticking to EHM till i know i can create a save on FHM without it corrupting on me.

Can you upload the save for us to have a look at? It's easier to get this sort of thing fixed if we can look at a game with the problem occurring. I've run test games that added expansion teams every year and not run into this issue, so there's some particular circumstance that's caused it to happen in your game that we need to figure out.

There's a step-by-step guide for sending them to our ftp server here, or you can zip the save directory for that game and post it on a file sharing site like filedropper.com or dropbox and send me the link.

Got it, thanks - yeah, there's definitely something going wrong there, we'll have a look and see what broke the playoffs. My first guess is that it might be the unbalanced conferences that did it, but it could be something else.

Okay thanks for the help, Ill start a new one tomorrow and make the divisions even and see what happens.

OK, turns out it was actually completely unrelated to expansion; apparently it's something that can go wrong when the games in a first-round playoff series of the user's team are played rather than simmed. It'll be fixed in the next update, coming very soon, but the bad news is that it's not possible to fix the save retroactively in this case.
