Released players not released

League file uploaded (released players TMBU.lg.rar)

We have just started the regular season and some players that are being released by teams are not going to the FA pool. They disappear out of the team's organization when looking at player lists but they don't go to the FA pool. If you look at the players profile they show as still being with the organization. They can then be released again and go to the FA pool.

In the league file I uploaded I have a list of 5 players that are stuck in this 'limbo'. There are probably more but I stopped looking. If you search for these players you will see the issue. Here are the players...

DH Jesus Cortez SFE ML
1B Bill Crabbe SIL A
1B Daniel Gonzalez SIL A
RF Clyde Kearley AUG AAA
RP Lorenzo Nunez JAC A

One of these players, Cortez, has a $4m salary and the player DOES show up on SFE's salary page but not on his roster. So SFE is still paying him when he his salary should have been added to MISC expenses and he should be a FA. The other 4 all had minor league contracts.

If this is for an online league, the release player issue should be fixed in the .72 build. You would need to update to the new build, run a sim, and then after that point, teams can release players and they should stay released.

Yes it is an online league. One other oddity of this is that the players that go into limbo become eligible for the playoff roster (at least if PO roster is all the 40-man) even though they have never been on the 40-man roster.

We just started having this issue after our 40 season online league went to '17. Is this due to not everyone having the same version?
