I remember Total Pro Football 2004 being an ok sim, does anyone know what happened to that project, because if I remember correctly it was done by one of the old ootp companies .400 studios.

I still have it but could not get it to work in Windows 7 or Windows 10.

I wonder if there is a chance that they could use the old code for this game to bring one similar and back up to time. From what I remember when having the game it was fun to play and a little bit customize-able and would be a good base for a game, but dont know what the legal hurdles would be.

I still have it and just played a few games last month. I have no problems on my W7 system.

Did you ever get it running before?

Tried to re-install? I never had a dll.problem with the original files and a roster file for 2004.

Yes I had it running years ago, possibly on a XP PC. Yep reinstalled nothing seems to work.

OK it's not a dll error message the actual message is Run time error 91

bject variable or with block variable not set. A quick Google search reveals this seems to be a Visual Basic coding error which I am not qualified to solve.

Unfortunately I no longer have the installation file, I just have the 400 software studios folder with the game in it so re-installing is not an option even though it may well work.

Obviously I am at a dead end now as the game is no longer available for sale, thanks for your interest though.

After I changed the sound settings in the audio section of the tpf.ini, the game works fine. The tpf.ini is in the root folder of TPF. Here are the changes I made.

[Audio]
ThemeMusic=FALSE
InterfaceSounds=FALSE
BackgroundSound=TRUE
PBPSound=FALSE
AllSound=FALSE

The BackgroundSound has to be set to TRUE or the PBP screen won't load and the game will just simulate.

Loved Total Pro Football and it was a shame there wasn't further development and versions. Haven't played it for years as I think I last installed it a few PC's ago.
