Pittsfield Jackrabbits

Okay, yes, I know, the jackrabbit isn't native to New England. I couldn't come up with a fitting name for Pittsfield, and I had this set I wanted to use, so sue me. Everything's taken from the South Dakota State Jackrabbits - the P is custom, with the rabbit ears tacked on.

Plymouth Waves

The W comes from the Nickname Project; beyond that, I'm not sure. The design of the circle was cribbed from the Buffalo Bisons' main logo.

Portland Raiders

The "Portland Raiders" was a team that I made up when I was like 10, and it's stuck around in various formats for me since. But why Raiders? Why purple? Why a lightning bolt? I dunno, I was 10. The logos are all full customs, though I think I found the lightning bolt via a Google search.

Providence Knights

The main logo is from, as far as I can tell, the Unity Christian High School. The sword-and-shield was a stock image (with the P included, actually). It's a little rough, because I had to pull it from a small image. Once more, two caps are included - I wanted to go with a gold hat, but it didn't look quite right, so I switched it to black.

Salem Tide

Nah, I didn't go cliche with the name for a Salem team. I found the S logo (which is apparently from a company called Salmovac, a fish... vaccination... company, and that's a phrase I never thought I'd utter) and knew I had to go nautical with the team, because the logo was pretty damn cool. The main logo is full custom, using a clipart sailboat and baseball.

South Coast Stampede

The "South Coast" generally refers to the southern portion of Massachusetts; with New England becoming a country of its own, I'm taking the liberty to give that name to the "South Coast" of the new country - coastal Connecticut and Rhode Island. (Mainly I just wanted a "C" city to use this logo set with, and the "SC" was the closest I could come). The Stampede, this time playing out of New London, CT, is one of my favorite team designs; I try to incorporate them every chance I get. The main logo comes from the Steubenville Stampede, an old indoor football team. The bull in the alt logo is from the even older Birmingham Bulls hockey team, with the custom SC added on. Two cap choices once again; the orange looks best with the home uni, and the red with the away. I don't like having home and away caps, so I'm going orange, but here's both.

Springfield Metros

The whole idea was taken from a logo that someone did on here a while back, converting a fantasy Toronto Metros basketball logo into a baseball one. I've taken that logo and updated it with the Springfield skyline, turning the CN Tower into a flagpole, meant to represent Six Flags. The alt logo is custom.

Taunton River Rats

Originally a mill city, the Taunton River is an important feature of my hometown, so "River Rats" seemed to fit really well. The rat itself came from somewhere on these boards long ago; beyond that, I'm not sure. The text is a really cool font called Urban Jungle.

Vermont Timbers

Montpelier is such a horrid name for a team that I decided to go with the state name instead. Plus the V logo is really freaking cool. It came from the Nickname Project, I believe originally from a fantasy design for a Vancouver Lumberjacks team. The crest is adapted from the Westside Timbers soccer club, using the axes from the alt logo.

Worcester Devils

Last but not least, I'm proud of this design. The devil itself comes from a high school team, the Castlewood Blue Devils. Everything else is full custom. The reason for the broken heart symbols is Worcester's nickname of the "Heart of the Commonwealth" for its central location in Massachusetts. I had originally wanted to go with the "Blackhearts" or something like that; I wound up keeping the broken hearts when I switched to "Devils."

Also figured I'd upload the custom league logo I'm using:

Concord Thunder

I've started my league now, so I'm going to be more focused on actually playing the game, but I'll be updating my minor leagues as I feel like it. They'll be in no particular order or timeframe. The AAA league - the NEBA Reserve League (NRL) - encompasses some of the bigger cities that I didn't get to use in the main league, and uses the same style of jerseys as their parent league. So anyone who wants to use them can feel free to mix and match.

The Thunder are the affiliate of the Manchester Storm, hence the recurring imagery. The Thunder text is from the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL, from before they relocated and became the Adirondack Thunder. The lightning bolts around it were adapted from the Davidson County Community College Storm logo. The small logo was from a fan concept for the OKC Thunder (by nessmasta on DeviantArt), with the C layered on top.

Brockton Rox

Didn't need to stretch for this one. The Whalers' affiliate city is Brockton, and they already have a rather popular amateur baseball team. The Rox jumped at the offer to join a professional league. All logos are taken directly from the team as-is.

Lots of cool teams here. Just so you know, the Brockton Rox actually were a pro team a few years ago, in the Can-Am League.

They've changed leagues so often, I forgot they were ever in the Can-Am. But you are correct.

I know, seems like par for the course for some of those indy leagues.

Newport Waves

The Newport team took their parent club's name mainly because I had this second "waves" set that I wanted to use. The logos come from the Ocean State Waves, a collegiate team, with the alt logo altered to be an N instead of a W. To be perfectly honest, I like how this set came out a whole lot more than my design for Plymouth; I may end up switching the two in my game.
