Headlines...biggest news is San Fran gives up on Powers and gets taken to the cleaners in the trade...in my opinion.
Powers, who is still a 4* player and good at 1b, goes to LA along with the #62 prospect, LHP Alex Anaya for a 26yr old 1.5* RF Alberto Corona who hasn;t hit above .240 in the last 2 seasons of pro ball. Wow that's a weird trade! San Fran are in a divisional battle for 1st and trade out a vet that could help them for no instant help.
And worse is they trade Powers to their bitter rival who are only 6 games back with 1/3 of the season to go. Crazy. Oh well time to make them pay! |

In coaching news, Marks hangs it up as Austin's manager for 11 seasons. He finishes his MLB coaching career at 896-886 with 2 playoff appearances and 1 ring.
Snyder also hangs it up as Baltimore's bench coach for the last 3 seasons and Columbus's hitting coach for 3 years. Snyder ends his MLB coaching career with a record of 458-514. That leaves Seyde, Powers, and Long still working as coaches in the MLB. |

Awards season 2062.
King finishes 3rd in NL CY, Acres and KJ finish 2 and 3 in the NL MVP. Not sure why, but Marks wins the AL CY as a reliever, and the runner up is a reliever as well...guess the AL starters were real bad in 2062. |
