I am on an old computer though.
It's just a 60 game schedule so the season runs from March to June. I wanted to keep with the real college experience as much as possible. Also players that turn 23 retire so it keeps the number of players down. The schedule is just generic, 3 games against conference opponents and then hit or miss who they play outside the conference. I just let the game generate a schedule. I simmed one season without the feeder league and it took about 30 minutes including the playoffs. I was also checking league reports and stuff. With the feeder league it took about 45 minutes. But the High School schedule is 40 games and runs March to May so once it was over the sim speeds up because it's only college playing.

I'm glad you have 3 years sim history down, but in my experience with extremely large leagues, eventually you'll hit a brick wall in simming and your machine will totally deadlock.

I would love to create a real-time, semi-accurate reflection of the complete collegiate universe but half way thru the "Schedule Editor" or "League Configuration" zonks out due to all of the database objects that exist.

With all of that said, best of luck and please post your final project!
I'm hoping I don't run in to a "brick wall". That would suck. LOL. I just ran the sim for three years to see what would happen. The first time I tried this I had players still playing in college at ages 24,25,26 even though I had entered 21 as the max age for active rosters. I'm assuming this is the max age they can start playing then, without a parent league for them to go to? If this happens when I plug in the real teams I'll just mass retire players that hit 23 in the off season to keep the database of players down. Also, with finance off, there are Free Agents who were not picked up by any team. They demand money and won't get it so I delete all FA's also or retire them if they have any playing time. The teams have a 30 man roster with 15 on reserve to keep them small. I'm thinking that after a few seasons the high school feeder league may slow things down. If so then I'll get rid of it. The schedule is only 60 games to keep it as realistic as possible, with milestone numbers drastically reduced to match.
It took me a couple hours yesterday to get all the team and conference logos in to their respective folders (that I created) and resized to 150x150. Now moving the unis and hats in to folders. Once that's done I have to create the league, rename all teams, input uniforms, etc. Going to take a little while and I do have some real life stuff going on. LOL. I'll keep you posted.

I agree, so I'm going to loosely follow the NCAA. I just want a 60+ game schedule with real team names, uniforms, etc., that play a 64 team playoff. I'm not worried about rivalry's in the schedule either, just run a generic schedule where teams play their conference opponents 3 games and then randomly plays teams outside their conference 3 games each. Let the game create the schedule. Keeping it as simple as possible.

Keeping the database down so anyone that's 23 is retired.

With finances and trades off won't this help simming since these transaction won't be part of the league?

If it's just the amount of teams that could be a problem then I would reduce them. Cut out the smallest schools until I get a stable universe. But that's after a bunch of sim testing. LOL. Wish me luck.

I'm back to do college uniforms for a while. Hopefully I can get these last 4 conferences finished and then go back and update some of the others.

I know I come for a while and then go for a while. The reason for this is my pretty severe ADD. I don't take meds for it. I manage pretty well though. Probably why I have been teaching 4 year old Kindergarten for 20 years. My ADD goes well with a 4 year old...lol. But I have several interest, but never at the same time. I will get interested in one of them and will do it until I get tired of it. That can be days, weeks, or months. Since December 28th I have been recreating the 1998 Busch Grand National cars for the Nascar 2003 1998 mod. I did like 65 cars. Sometimes I put model cars together, usually 60's drag cars, mainly gassers. I love drag racing and old cars too. During college football season I am completely focused on the Gamecocks....lol. During all of this, I find time to read the Bible and study the Word of God and also teach Adult Sunday School. I also make sure I spend plenty of time with my wife and two boys. I usually do the majority of this type of stuff for a couple of hours at night before I go to bed. This is how I unwind. Now that college baseball is back in full swing, my interest has swung back to this, no pun intended. I am a big fan of South Carolina and Furman baseball. I just got my season tickets for Furman baseball. So I am somehow going to have to find time for that too. My 9 year old enjoys going with me to the games, we have fun. I have been here for a while and really enjoy this forum. I appreciate all the compliments I have gotten and I'm glad that some of you guys like to use my work. This is just a little more about me than most of you know. Now I am going to finish up the MEAC conference.

Next up in the MEAC Southern Div. is Florida A&M. Their twitter page shows 3 new uniforms. I found no road gray uniforms. I also did not see a new white jersey. I used their white jersey from last year. These are pretty accurate.

Next up in the MEAC Southern Div. is the North Carolina A&T Aggies. They appear to have only the three uniforms. I was at all three games at Furman last year and they wore the blue twice and the yellow once.

Next up in the MEAC Southern Div. is the NC Central Eagles. They appear to have three uniforms this year. These are pretty accurate. The red hat is possibly an older hat.

Next up is the Savannah State Tigers, last team in the MEAC Southern Div. They only appear to have the three uniforms. These are pretty accurate.

Up next is the Coppin State Eagles. They are in the MEAC Northern Div. The first three uniforms in the pic are their most recent. The bottom three may be older. These are pretty accurate.

Next up in the MEAC Northern Div. is the Delaware State Hornets. Not a lot of pics to go by. They showed the light blue and red jerseys for this year and new hats for the year featuring this logo, different from last years. I made a white jersey to match the red and light blue ones. They did wear the black Nike jersey last year. These are pretty accurate.

Next up in the Northern Div. of the MEAC is the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. They appear to have the four uniforms. The camo jersey possibly appears to be their road gray jersey. I could only find one small pic of it. These are pretty accurate.

The last team in the MEAC Northern Div. is the Norfolk State Spartans. They appear to have 4 uniforms. These are pretty accurate. I forgot to put the buttons on the Gray jersey in the pic. I fixed it on the jersey.
