I am very impressed with the 3D. The screenshots and even the video Markus did really don't do it justice. It really is an incredible upgrade.

I have only played out four games so far, but managed every inning of them and did not hold back in terms of strategy and trying to get whatever edge I could. My sense is that there has been some encouraging progress in the area of in-game AI. While it's never been anything close to a game-killer, this hasn't been OOTP's strong suit either.

It just feels different this year -- it feels like the AI is more effectively working matchups late in games. Limited sample size but the AI definitely hasn't done anything stupid yet through four games.

I absolutely love the player animations, but if I'm looking with a fine tooth comb, I think the animation that could use a little touching up might be the throwing from the fielders. The bat swings, ball catching, and running all look great, but the throwing of the ball I think is just okay. I think it might be the backwards arm action at the beginning that looks a little awkward.

Not a major issue. It looks good overall, but if you're looking for opinions on what could be fine tuned, I think fielder throws might be the best thing to look at first.

Not technically a bug and I may be missing it somewhere else, but does anyone else notice the service time on a players profile isn't there if there's a Twitter handle? Making my service time manipulation very difficult to do.

Yeah, that was pointed out yesterday by one of the beta testers. Not sure if we'll change it or not, but we are aware of it.

Kicking around a historical exhibition right now. (One of my FAVORITE features, BTW) Some comments (for what ever my comments are worth):

- I love how the little animated players come out and do jumping jacks after a big win!

- Actually, I love how smooth the 3D is. It's beyond what I thought it would be so far, and it's really exciting to hear you guys talk about how you are going to make it ever better. Aside from some tweaks that we know are coming, I can't imagine how it could get any better.

- Still getting use to the new interface. It looks REALLY slick, but it also pushes me out of my OOTP comfort zone! I'm trying to resist going back to the classic interface, because it does look so nice.

- PC and windows 7 - So far it's been stable! No crashes!

- Real funny: I took a year off playing OOTP last year - still bought the game, however. Coming back to play this year. I feel so rusty playing it.

- I like how the "Pause Between plays/Continuous Play" check box is hot-keyed to be turned off. (Esc=off). I just wish it could also be hot-keyed to be turned on (ESC = on/off). I also wish it was an option for when you're in human manager mode for defense and offense strategy - not just for substitutions. A la Earl Weaver Baseball.

I say that because I'd like to enjoy watching the beautiful 3D animation uninterrupted, yet still maintain control of the strategy; only stepping in when I necessary. Perhaps there could be an adjustable delay with it as well.

- BTW, you guys sure got the animated players moseying between outs down! HA! Now if only we could get them to scratch themselves!

That's all for now. Bottom line: I LOVE IT. So glad I pre-ordered.

This is what I see when I open a player page:

I can change it to splits instead of game log and at least get the current year's stats up top so it's not the biggest deal in the world.

Also this is a very minor complaint in comparison to how amazing this game is overall!

What I discovered is that I just need to hover my pointer over the area and scroll with my mouse wheel, no clicking needed. So easy that way. Hope this works for you.

I know that, but I'm saying the ratings outside the editor are not adding up. Despite being way better against lefties int he editor, it says outside the editor he's better against righties. Additionally, it will rate his contact as a 45 outside the editor, then when you go in and change his avoid K editor by literally 1 point, he goes from a 45 contact to an 80. There's certainly some sort of glitch going on here.

Awesome game so far!!!! Been playing since OOTP14 and I love seeing the new updates every year with something new to offer! So proud of the developers for making such a great game year in and year out! Also, the new international scouting report is my favorite new part so far:

Thanks for the shoutout for the Middletown Mansfields. Having gone to school in Middletown, CT, 110 years later, it's still hard for me to fathom there was a NL team there.

Played about 30 games, inning by inning as Atlanta.

Wild pitches seem to be utterly out of control. Literally 3-4 every single game.

Fielders throwing errors too. 3-4 errors in a game isn't uncommon.

Edit: To give an example: Dansby Swanson has *10* errors in 33 games played (.303/ErrG) where as his real-life career stats are 26 errors in 179 games (.145/ErrG).

Triples also seem to be a bit too common, and I've even had 2 ITP HRs.

Small sample size... league totals for WP, 3B and E are right on the money in our test sims.
