Rosters of Historical Teams
Hello--I've posted about this a few times but still can't seem to get it figured out. I like to run seasons with historic teams from across various eras. The issue I'm having is that when I do a custom season with these teams, the rosters are only opening day rosters, with no players that joined the team later in the season. (ie no Verlander on 2017 Astros or Cecil Fielder on '96 Yankees). There's no option for historical transactions in a custom league.
In past OOTP versions, every player from the entire year would be on the team roster at the beginning of a custom season, regardless of when they joined or left the team. Are there any steps that I can take to have it like this again? If not, can this be fixed in a later patch? What would be the reason this is happening this year? |

Opening Day (OD) and End of Season (EOS) rosters are available for use in Exhibition mode. I don't know why the same rosters couldn't be used for historical setups across eras. Markus, of course, would have to do the coding.

That's what I was thinking too. What's frustrating is that those players were available in previous years, but I think they were lost as an unintentional byproduct of separating into opening day and end of season for exhibition games.

Why not just import them?

I suppose I could do that, but if I wanted it to be accurate it would be rather time consuming. Even for a small league (say 12 teams) I would need to first figure out who all the players were that weren't on the team at the beginning of the year, and then import them all. Unless there's an easier way I'm missing? I've mostly just played the game and not dealt with altering files, etc, so I'm definitely open to suggestions!
