rainouts on schedule/move days

Hi using the 2019 for playing this season
On march 29th the Cin Reds game was rained out but the schedule in the ootp game shows a game that day
How do I cancel that game and say move it to a future date where there exists no Reds game. (without mixing up the rotation as I want to keep it authentic throughout the season.
Also how would I bring up a player from the minors and place a player on the DL

Many thanks for your help in advance

If there's a rain out, OOTP will automatically reschedule the game for a future date. It should tell you the date when you look at the game on the scores N schedule page.

I'm not quite sure I understand what's going on here. Was the game cancelled or suspended? Or was it an official game that was shortened by rain?

If it was cancelled (i.e. called before the first pitch was thrown), then there shouldn't be any game shown on the schedule (except a notification that the game was cancelled).

If it was suspended (i.e. called before it was an official game or when the score was tied), then the game will show up - all of those individual stats count even though there's no result.

If it was shortened by rain (i.e. called after it had become an official game with one team leading), then it's no different from a nine-inning game - just a little shorter.

Easiest way is to go to your team's Rosters & Transactions page. You can drag and drop players from your active roster to the DL or move a player from a minor league club. Alternatively, you can go to the individual player's page. Under the Actions drop down menu, go to Transactions. That will give you options to send the player to the DL or to a different team in your organization.

Terminology nitpick:

Postponed should refer to games which were not played due to weather or other reasons, and which are rescheduled for play at a later date; cancelled should refer to games which were not played due to weather or other reasons, and which will not be played at a later date (i.e. will not be made up); suspended refers to games halted while in progress and which are, at a later date, continued from the point of the suspension.

I mention this because I have seen the terms sometimes used interchangeably in the social media feeds of real-life independent minor league clubs.

It's also the term that OOTP uses:

*sigh*

Of course, OOTP doesn't do cancelled games—every team always plays out its full schedule no matter what. (Which removes one of the things that makes baseball unique.)

If you mess around with the schedule editor and move a game here there and everywhere and have 200 plus team leagues, teams don't always play the same amount of games.

I meant to play a NY Yankee game but accidently scheduled a NY Met game. Happens all the time.

There is a schedule evaluator but mine never works because it has a hard time working with larger leagues.

Do you mean the real game rained out and you want to duplicate it in the game?............Z

That's what I'm thinking since it got rained out.I think the "using the 2019" threw people off, but OP probably means OOTP 19.

Hmmm, that makes sense. In that case, the OP should just use the "as played" schedule for that season.

If it's the 2018 season we're talking about, the _ap schedule doesn't exist yet.

Then the OP should go to the in-game schedule editor, delete the game that he wants to postpone, and add it to a later date.
