Importing earlier in the off-season

If I have an old OOTP18 league that just finished up its 2017 season, is there any way to import that league into OOTP19 such that the new league picks up *before* arbitration, free agency, etc.?

Thanks in advance for any feedback you guys can provide.

You can import any time you wish.

You must sim day by day the world series. If you use the "sim to end of playoffs" it advances to the off-season automatically.

Once the world series is complete, you can "finish today." On the events you'll see that the following day will show "begin off-season." You must import the game into 19 at this time if you want 19 to calculate new budgets and such. Then you can proceed with the off-season in 19.

Doesn't hurt to make back-ups incase you go too far.

If you've advanced in 18 past the budgets, you can still import into 19.

Start OOTP 19 - on the game main screen select "Import OOTP 18 Game".

you stop on the day you want to import to '19.

totally depends on the last day saved in your previous version of ootp.

just in case.. .you do have to go version by version... e.g. if you own ootp17, you have to import into ootp18, then import that ootp18imported league to ootp19.. etc.. must step through the versions of ootp, can't skip one.

you can use demo versions for years you do not own. so, you don't have to buy any inbetween.
