No Audio, Aside from Faint Crowd Noise

Hard to believe I've been playing this game for 15 years ... amazing that I still remembered my password.

Anyway, I noticed this in Version 18 a couple days before downloading Version 19, so it may not just be the latest update, but aside from faint crowd noise in the background, there are no other sounds - no umpires, no cheer music, no announcers, no 7th inning stretch. The volume on my laptop is on 100% so I don't know what's going on, or even how to troubleshoot it.

This happened to me in 18 and the answer was that its usually caused by a Windows update not updating. Go to Windows update and install any updates. It was the first thing I was asked to do and it worked for me.
