Adding a tournament to an already existing fictional league

Is this possible? When I bought Ootp 19 I was under the assumption that there was a tournament mode separate from everything else. I could have sworn I read that there was but obviously there isn't

AFAIK the process of adding a tournament is similar to adding a league, so you should be able to do that.

Yes it is, go into league settings, there's a button in the top right.

Sorry, you have to be on the Global Settings tab and it's in the top right "Available Global Actions"

Does it have to be Countries? My fictional league is based in Eastern Canada where there are 4 provinces. 95%+ of the players were born in one of those provinces. My plan was to have 4 teams compete in a tournament in the off season where they represent their province. Is this possible? Trying to figure it out at the moment haha.

It is separate, but if you add a tournament during the season and include the Yankees and Dodgers, the Yankees and Dodgers are playing in the tournament and the regular season at the same time. At least that is my understanding.

It does not have to be countries. I suggest making a Quick Start backup of your league during the off season and use your separate league as a tournament league. You just need to skip the regular season as attached.
