Lost first round pick when it should have been protected

hi, I signed a compensation level free agent, but was at #7 in the draft. Therefore I think the pick should have been protected and I'd only lose a 2nd round pick. However when the draft rolled around I had no 1st round pick but did have a 2nd round pick.

How many teams do you have in your league? I believe the setting is top 1/3 is protected so if your league has less than 21 teams that pick would not be protected.

The following was listed as a fix in the patch

"- Fixed bug where picks were not protected when eligible FA were signed"

Is that your issue?

FYI the fix also may not take effect until the following off-season, so if this is the first off-season since updating to the patch it may not work until next year.
