League expansion and team personnel set up
Setting up a league expansion in OOTP19 after the 2018 season. Is there any way to do this and not have the AI set up your team personnel without having to delete all coaches and scouts in the game setting tab or to go in and fire each newly hired coach, manager, scout which seems to screw with the money you need to start a new team. I would love to set up an organization with hitting and pitching focuses up and down that have a more comprehensive plan.
Thanks all, 19 is a fantastic piece of work |

I like to play as an expansion team and agree that this option would be great!

not a solution:
you can turn on comissioner mode and zero out misc. staff expenses to fix that problem. located in Team Settings page. band-aid, only. if they sign coaches the moment it's made, you can't do anythign since you cant take that job before that point.. if it signs them after, it's just a matter of timing. i don't know the minutiea, but the answer willbe apparent in the process that is observable. NoOne, I am learning that the way to go about this is to plan it out. So, let's say I want to set up an organization that would have conventional managers, contact as a focus and neutral as the pitching focus. So, in year 1 you fire all your lower level managers, coaches and replace them with people that have those focuses to start your younger players in the organization on that path. Then you just replace staff at upper levels every year when their contracts expire.
One hint on this is to check your major league staff and try to fit your focuses on what the manager, hitting and pitching coach are. Makes it simpler from a financial perspective. One thing I will always do though is fire a mediocre scout and go get the best one available. The focuses I really stay away from are flyball and extreme flyball pitchers. I just love those worm burners Last edited by Steve the Elder; 04-09-2018 at 04:08 PM. |

definitely dump them when a better one is available.. i'd do this for any coach or team doctor too. (assuming there are not payroll issues.. i wouldn't sacrifice player quality in any way)
but, you could set it all up day one, and just zero-out the costs => no repercussions for the first year(s). you can rationalize it as you would have never hired those people to begin with, since they were forced upon you. i don't like being hindered by things i had no control over.. this is something i am willing to do year 1. i play as a gm-only specificalyl so i can make a coach version of "me" with sliders i choose. that takes care of the biggie. the rest i don't worry too much about anymore. *coaches... team doc and scout i make sure i get the best and retain them. if i am ever tight on budget space, it's a 1-2 year duration and rare at that.
