Saved game files question
I purchased the game on Steam a few weeks ago (whenever it was released) .. but, Steam is causing me crashing issues (not just with OOTP) - so I bought the non steam version as well.
I had a nice universe going on with my Steam version, but don't see how to load it into the non-Steam version. Where do I need to relocate my Steam version saved games folder to get the non-Steam version to see it ? Edit : Figured it out........ In case anyone else switches ... For me ... The Steam version saves are : C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 19 The non-Steam version files are : D:\Program Files (x86)\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 19\data I copied the steam files to the non-steam files, and all my progress is available. you can customize paths.. it's in game too 'file settings' on main splash screen of ootp19. maybe it's game settings? the only 'settings' option either way.
custom_folder.ini in game's root directory. ______ini contents______________________ [Folders] OOTPAppFolder=C:\Games\OotP19 OOTPCustFolder=D:\Games\OotP19\data _____________________________________ when you install or update, keep a copy of it off to the side, i keep one on desktop, for example. then after setup runs, i drop it into the directory before loading ootp19 after a patch... the process pauses before it launches, don't click till you replace that file. saves the hassle of re-installing data directory 2 times, if you want it all in the same folder and not default.
