Rosters and Transactions Screen

Hey, all. Been playing OOTP for years now, so I'm familiar with this screen. I think I have seen a screen shot where you can show more than 4 boxes in this screen. Is this true and if so, how do I make that change? I like showing the active roster, DL, DFA, and AAA but if I can show more, I'd sure like that!

it relates to your screen resolution and window re-sizing, if not full/maximized etc.

1920*1080 will have 3*3 rows/columns. you resize it a bit while in that desktop reso. and might lose some.

can actually get more working area by shifting the title bar a bit out of sight and stretching window. fullscreen is usually wonky, i avoid it (not for ootp, but just in general.. uses more resources too and can bug out when swapping back and forth between other windows.)

Thanks for the help. It looks like it's more complicated than it seems, so I should add that this is on a Mac. I made a change to the window size...which immediately blew the program up. Thought it was just the size I chose, so I chose other sizes and same effect. Blows up the program. Possible bug? Not sure.

What kind of computer do you have? Laptop/Desktop?

What size is the screen?

What is your native resolution setting?

You may or may not be able to use higher resolution sizes.

in windows there's a choice to only show compatible resolutions. not so sure how macs work at all in this regard.

the native reso of your screen will be the max you can set it to. google model # of monitor if not sure.

don't try to resize anymore, lol.. that's just weird. your screen resolution is all you need to set. larger reso gives more room on the screen.

I appreciate the help. There's no setting (that I'm aware of) that talks about compatible resolutions. For a Mac, it gives you about 4 different resolutions to choose from in the system preference, plus an easy "default" radio button to choose if you're not sure. The maximum one I saw for my Mac (it's a 15" Macbook Pro) is 1440 x 900.

There's also not a way to play with the boxes and their size in the program as well. Can you move it around in the Windows version?

no, can't manipulate the size of the tiles.. i have no probs resizing entire app window, though. i don't use full screen, ever... i slide it so title bar is a bit off screen, then maximize the size (1920*1080 plasma tv)

if you only have 1440*900 it may not show 9 tiles on rosters and transaction.. simply not enough pixels to work with.

when i resize the ootp window, it reduces the tiles too.. it's workign with fewer pixes, same concept. you can always change what those visible boxes contain though. aaa, mlb, dfa etc.

it's not about inches of the screen in any way. a 2" screen could feasible be 1920*1080, but it'd be incredibly difficult to read, lol.

That's a bummer. This is the one screen I would love to be able to manipulate. I usually don't mess with any other screen.

I do appreciate the help. Thank you very much!

hdmi output? hook it up to a 1080p or 4k tv. get wireless kb/mouse etc. 9 tiles visible on 1080p and maybe ~12+ on 4k, if it keeps scaling?.

If you lower the size of the text will the game cram in more boxes?

possibly, but i don't thnk it changes # of tiles in rosters and transaction by changing text size alone.. maybe more rows within an existing tile or can fit in a larger name in the visible area etc.

long names can cut off a symbol.. if you bump text up, names get truncated but no changes to the overall layout like # of tiles/windows/panes, whatever word you prefer.
