Modifiers and Totals 1 more time..

From the manual:

Historical Modifiers & Totals Options give you further flexibility if you are importing historical leagues. If you are not using historical leagues or fictional leagues based on historical data, you should leave both of these boxes unchecked.

It also goes on to say it is suggested you use these in conjunction.

Question #1 is.. I'm doing a fictional league starting in the year 2000. I want the stat output to be close to that year and not fluctuate too much from it year to year. So I would select "lock totals" only and leave automatic modifier unchecked? Yes?

Question #2 - If I select automatic league evolution and check more hitting and more pitching..does it have an effect on these?
