Ramon Hernandez

Here is my attempt at colorizing Ramon Hernandez. I'm not all that pleased with the logo. I'm having a problem with colorizing some dark areas red while keeping the texture. I made the text a solid red, which I'm not pleased with. The number on the front seems to have come out alright, though. Anyway, other than that.

Walt "No Neck" Williams

On this one you'll see as the text gets so dark it doesn't hardly show the red. I kept the texture from the chenille embroidery stitching. Even though the red doesn't completely cover, I like the text on this one better. The number on the front was way to dark to pick up any red. I used to run an embroidery machine years ago. Maybe that's why I like to try to keep the stitching.

Don't remember if I posted this one before or not.

Al Simmons-Lou Gehrig-Babe Ruth-Jimmy Foxx

Twins That I Have Given up hope for Color

Two Twins that died young and were around only briefly in Minnesota uniforms. Been looking for full-on color shots for years, but now am turning towards help here with the promise that this is a long-awaited opportunity because I only recently saw the Bond.

I don't usually do requests but since the Astros and Mets were the first
new teams to come into existence in 1962 when I was a kid I've always
had a fascination for the players on the early versions of those teams.
Not to mention the AA Twins farm team played many years in New Britain CT which is 10 minute drive for me.and I attended tons of games there.
Anyway I didn't realize Zappa already went to work until after I finished
one of your black and whites and here it is.

Herman Hill

Somehow I overlooked the fact that the second BW was Herman Hill (who I confess I don't remember at all) and assumed both photos were Walt Bond.

No worries. It happens. I like your trees better. I had trouble trying to figure out what was going on there. I did some guessing. It's all good.

I used a few slightly different shades of green to make it more realistic.
I also pasted some of the solid foliage in between his arms and the bat
where sky was poking thru the trees. Very difficult to get that to look real.
