Player Stuck on DL

I 'm new so I appreciate any help. I have a player "stuck" on the DL after the season ends. The game will not advance a day since he's due to come off the DL and I get that pop-up message. If I try to activate the player, I get a message saying he's not on the 40 man roster so he cannot be activated (he was on the 40 before he went on the 60 day DL). There is no option to add him to the 40 in the Transaction drop down. If I try to send him on rehab I'm told that there is no team in season. I can't send him to AAA since he's a veteran with no options remaining.

I tried to go into commissioner mode and re-start his time on the the DL until spring training or the start of next season but, although I can add to his injury time, I cannot get the system to accept a new days on DL amount. I can add the new number of days on DL and hit enter on the player - edit screen, but when I return to the DL screen it still shows his DL stint as completed and teh calendar will not advance until he's cleared from DL.

there's 2 input boxes in the editor.. one for injury time and one for dl time left.

worse comes to worst... make note of injury and says left etc.. remove injury, add to 40man and whatever else you want to do, advance a day, then recreate injury in the editor... all is well.

rehab assignments shouldn't be affected by # of options. must be something else? did you check 40-man? he may already be on it if it's not an option in teh context menu.

if mil season hasn't started yet, you'll have to wait till then for a rehab assignment.. also, can't rehab while still days left on injury even if Disabled list time is up.

I usually use the Rosters and Transactions page. I just Drag n Drop the player to the 40-man Roster FIRST. Then you can move him to Active Roster.

The diffrence between 12-day DL and 60-day DL is the 60 day removes him from the 40-man Roster.
