Set up my FTP for an online league... now what?

So I'm feeling a little lost. This is going to be my first attempt at an online league (with just one other guy) and I guess since I've been playing OOTP the longest, I'm the commish by default.

IS there a good step-by-step guide on the forums anywhere for what to do next? How to handle the files? If I have a FTP set-up, do I have to give my friend access to the same FTP to allow him to upload his files?

I have the FTP set up (other than the email, which didn't like my email server), but the website download for the League Files Download option needed an index or something like that, and I wasn't sure what to do on that point.

Any general help would be much appreciated. Probably should have asked to be in someone else's online league first before trying to start my own, but hell - I don't normally like playing games with strangers. OOTP would probably be an exception, but yeah.

I think I uploaded my league to my FTP successfully.

But can anyone explain how to get the files from my FTP to my league's owners?

And how do they get their files to the FTP? Do they only need to export their own teams' results?

They get the league's file from inside the game once you complete all the settings. You also upload from inside the game.

start clicking to next page. it goes through a step-by step explanation of all the screens you'll have to navigate in game.

Thanks. So I got the files uploaded to my FTP. I'm feeling really stupid here, but there's nothing explicit on the online manual, so I'll ask: how does my friend join this online league? Like, starting from the home screen, does he click on "Start a New Game"? And then click on "Download Latest League File"?

I've gone through a couple times and I'm either missing some stuff or it's not clear enough for my luddite brain. I got through setting it all up on my end, and I think the FTP is good to go, and like I mentioned about the email, I couldn't get the email set up, but now we're not sure how to make *HIS* OOTP start playing with *MY* OOTP.

Also, the exporting teams (non-commissioner) page is missing: http://manuals.ootpdevelopments.com/..._commissioners
