2-way player working ? But what about Herb Washington

If the 2-way thing with Ohtani is working how about the tricky stuff of Herb Washington. Over 100 MLB games , ZERO AB, but aheck load of SB and runs.
Just played a historical and he imported not even in Oakland organization but as a failed 1B free agent.
OK with that but looking at his speed and stolen base ability.
Based on that he did steel bases and scored in about 1/3 of the games he entered should have given him much better speed. Now he looked like an old tired catcher.
At least his odd stats from MLB should be displayed, but nothing.

If he should be able to play OOTP needs some sort readjusting. He is kind of a freak happening but who knows when this pops up again.
The AI should also be adjusted to know if you got an extreem fast runner.

But perhaps it's too much to ask, and it might mess up the AI with other speedsters.

Players with zero AB's do not appear in the OOTP batting tables. His odd stats do appear in the Spritze batting database.

So using your DB Spritze Herb will have a little more speed ?

Question still for historical reasons. Will the AI use him as a pinchrunner ?

Puzzled that few cares. He did bring some funny stuff to the field during those couple of year, so playing any kind of historical during this time folks should be concern of his skills.

Much work was done this year for players who both bat and pitch. It may be time to work on those who do neither.

Agreed. While Herb Washington may be the only one to not bat at all, there are others that had been used mostly as a Pinch-runner. Alan Lewis before Herb Washington. Matt Alexander with the A's and Pirates, Larry Lintz with the A's, Don Hopkins wit the A's, Sandy Piez with the Giants, to name a few.

He did not play all that much overall.

If you have minors on then these players can have very interesting careers since they played in the minors and did other things than just run around the bases there.
