Pretty impressive for his age - Twins just inked him for another 3 years too. He's ranked #2 on the Top Players list.

Impressive, indeed. Even though he missed al lot of games in 2011 and 2013 he had an excellent 2012.

But I wouldn't consider him a middle-of-the-linup hitter

He actually started 116 games in 2013, that image is taken on 24 Apr 2013. Season had just began

The Twins were mostly using him in lead-off. At 41 he still managed to swipe 31 bases in 2013.

Here's an update, it's now June of 2014 and you can see his playing time is dwindling rapidly. Already missed 7 weeks due to injury in 2014.

Ratings are on partially - Overall is potential only 20/80, and individual ratings are actuals only, 2/8. I don't manage a team, just play in Commish/Spectator mode

So after an injury plagued 2015, and 1 year left on his contract, Ole Steve decided it was time to hang em up. An accomplished career and one can only imagine what he would have done had he started his big league career at 22/23 years of age rather than 29.

I'm quite impressed by his base running smarts even as he aged. His stolen base success right up to age 42 is exceptional.

8 x All Star
3 x Silver Slugger
1 WS Ring and WS MVP
2000+ hits
500+ stolen bases
1000+ runs

He was a decent fielder too, majority of games at SS and 3B.
