Game freezes and crashes while setting up new save

I recently deleted my old save to start a new one. However, whenever it gets to 100% on assigning logos and pictures, it always freezes and crashes. I cannot get it to start a new save. Is there a solution to this? I am playing on steam if that makes any difference

When was the last time you restarted your computer. I had a similar issue in the past and found restarting my computer was the trick.

Restarted it today, still no luck. Gets stuck at the same place
