Joe Lake 1908
Lake was the ace of the 1910 St. Louis Browns, managing to win 11 games and sporting a 2.20 ERA. Pretty remarkable numbers considering the team as a whole only won 47 games and had a batting average of .218.

Phil Stremmel 1909
Stremmel was 29 years old when he cracked a big league roster as a pitcher. Unfortunately he never was able to gain a win, going 0-4 in 7 appearances.

Frank Truesdale 1910
As the starting 2nd baseman for the 1910 Browns, Truesdale was truly terrible. He finished with a .219 average, had -13 Runs From Fielding and was justly demoted the next season.

Leo Callahan 1913
Pictured here as a rookie with the Superbas. He hit well under .200 for Brooklyn and was sent down to toil in the minors until 1919.

George Bristow 1899
Career minor leaguer Bristow got his chance to be in the majors. Unfortunately it was with the worst team of all-time, the 1899 Cleveland Spiders. He is pictured here with Cleveland in Spring Training that year.

Zeke Wilson 1895
Wilson is pictured here with Cleveland in 1899 during Spring Training. Not long after this photo was taken, he was mercifully sold to St. Louis. He was one of the lucky ones.

Reggie Baldwin - Astros
VERY tough finding a color image of Reggie Baldwin, who had brief stints with Houston in 1978 & 1979. Courtesy of current TV listings on eBay.

Claude Osteen 1957
As promised, the two tough images from late in the esteemed lefty's career, just up from Topps Vault tonight on eBay: Houston and St. Louis, 1974.

Methinks I may need a heads up if you ever venture back into the Vault Merk. You've knocked out so many off my list. Greatly appreciated!

Mike Eden - Braves
I know that Merkle reported no TV pics of Eden with Atlanta, but I was wondering if anyone had anything of lesser quality - BW, anything at this point. Thanks.

Mike Eden - Braves 1976
It's not much, but here's a photo showing Eden with the Atlanta Braves trying to make a tag on the sliding Enos Cabell of the Astros. The photo is from the Jackson (TN) Sun of Sept. 16, 1976.

A desperate attempt to have an Eden card
Quote:
Taken from the 1977 Richmond team photo with an "a" photoshopped on. Fits the definition of "anything." |

1976 Astros
Looking for something of Rich Chiles showing him in the Tequila Sunrise version of the Astros unis, rather than the bland early 70s duds...also, anything of Terry Humphrey in Astros garb. Humphrey went north at the beginning of 1976, but was sent to Memphis on about the second day of the season when the team activated Larry Hardy.

John Ake 1884
Ake played sparingly for the 1884 Baltimore Orioles, and is pictured here that same season. He tragically drowned in 1887 when his boat capsized.
I have included the current Facepack image to get an idea of how much of an upgrade this find is. |
