NPBL (long-running fictional, no-finances league) has some openings

The National Pastime Baseball League (NPBL), founded Christmas Eve 2002, has some openings to fill.

We are a non-financial, fictional, league consisting of 24 teams and a terrific core of long-term owners. We sim M-W-F at 8:00 AM ET, 10 or 11 days per sim (we cover 1 month per week).

The league is moving to OOTP19 for the upcoming season.

Michigan Militia
Nevada Jacks
Tennessee Hounds

I chose the NPBL when I returned to OOTP after an absence of several years, and I'm glad I did. A solid group of active, helpful owners, and a great commish...

The absence of financials means you can't buy your way to the top; you must rely on your ability to evaluate, draft and trade. It may take a few extra seasons to build your team, but once it's built, it stays built for the long run. Highly recommended.

How else, other than buying talent, does the lack finances impact the league? I'm fascinated by this idea, from a commissioner standpoint.

It makes rebuilds take a little longer, since you cannot buy your way out, but it also makes it more rewarding (IMO). It also makes the off-seasons go by a bit quicker.

Yes,

Michigan is taken, but we still have Nevada, Tennessee, and Washington available.
