John Whitehead 1935
After 4 seasons with the White Sox, Whitehead split his 5th season, 1939, with the White Sox and Browns. Whitehead also appeared for the Browns in 1940 and 1942 when the Browns featured a change in their cap design. Shown here are 2 images from 1939 and 1940 that represent the 2 different Brown cap designs. Attached is the 1939 cap and the home and road 1940 cap.

Bob Fothergill 1922
Depicted is a 1927 image of Fothergill with the Tigers and a 1933 image of him with the Red Sox. In 1930 Fothergill played for both the Tigers and White Sox. The third image shows him in the highly distinctive 1930 White Sox uniform.

Les Rohr WAS There
To clear up previous questions and answers on this topic, courtesy The Milwaukee Public Library and an anonymous Brewers-invested researcher, here's the proof that the Mets' Les Rohr (1967), the second player ever chosen in the MLB draft (instead of say, Johnny Bench, Andy Messersmith, Graig Nettles, etc), was in uniform in the camp of the 1971 Milwaukee Brewers.
The clips from The Milwaukee Journal (February 20 and February 26, 1971) and The Milwaukee Sentinel (February 22) tell the story: Rohr was among the first 18 players to arrive in camp on February 19, homered on the 21st, and was in the hospital by the 25th with a recurrence of the back problem - that would promptly end his career. So Rohr was there, but only for five or six days: |

Bart Zeller 1970
That same research request produced this February 24, 1971 Milwaukee Journal image of one-game St. Louis catcher Bart Zeller in camp with the '71 Brewers...and it led another researcher to suddenly realize he had a copy of an original from the same shoot (though not precisely the same shot) - only with Zeller not identified.
That's Zeller in the middle. (Nothing similar turned up of Rohr). Last edited by Merkle923; 10-12-2018 at 10:42 PM. |

Here is a less heavily defaced image of Sprague with the Reds.

Bill Anderson 1925
Bill Anderson, listed on eBay by hobbyrus1, supposedly taken with the 1925 Braves.
Can anyone verify the uniform as one worn by the Braves? |

Clyde Mashore 1969
Clyde Mashore, 1969 Reds... offered on eBay by my_wdw_planner - watermark notwithstanding, it's the first color image of this player in a Cincinnati uniform that I've seen.

Sorry to contradict you, but there was a Topps Vault Mashore in a Reds uni (ek401). Still, I like your find very much..Thanks! |

Mike Kinnunen
Couldn't find anything via newspaper research. If you are desperate, there is a home-made card of him in a Twins uniform at the following URL. Since it's not authentic, I am not posting the image itself:
