Unhappy trouble starting second season

I am using the total minors rosters on version 5.12
I recently simmed a season and proceeded to the next one. I got a runtime error, but then I reloaded and had a Jan 24 date up. I simmed up until the new season, March 29, expecting to see a free agent signing period and an amateur draft, but the cpu simply extended everyones contract. Also, none of the season stats were zeroed out and they just keep adding onto last season's. I am not sure how to correct this problem for the next time I want to run a league.

You need to make sure that your season start date in your schedule is appropriate and does NOT occur during the off-season. That will prevent the runtime error that you experienced here I think.

thought of that

Thanks for your reply. I thought of that when I read your earlier posts on the matter, but I assumed maybe it was for online leagues because I don't see a schedule start date option anywhere. The first game to sim is on March 30, which it was in the first season, so the schedule just copied it over. Where is the option to set up the start date?

Also, did the whole thing mess up because of the runtime error? When I restarted the game, it picked up on 1/24 and I thought that might be okay because it was still in the offseason.

I would say that the runtime error messed up your league. Unless you have a backup of the league from before the error, then you will probably have to start things over again.

start date

If that is the case then, how do you set up the schedule with an appropriate start date? Do you just edit the schedule, or is there a button for that? I guess March 30 is too early? When is the appropriate date?

I have never had to change the "start date" for a league, your's got screwed up when the RTE happened otherwise you shouldn't have to adjust it.

earlier posts

In an earlier thread, the guys suggested that the start date was wrong and that is why the error occurred. When they adjusted the schedule, it fixed the error. I am not sure why I would need to do that(since the schedule starts on Mar. 30), so what caused the error then?

I have not used the roster set you mentioned so really don't know, as far as what caused the error I don't know that either. Could have been the program, though it hasn't happened to me or somethingelse w/ your system.
