Never saw a team dominate the awards like this.
The Yankees must have bought the mvp award in this league. When its not Ruth or Gehrig its a Yankee pitcher that wins the MVP. Now its Dimaggio and soon Mantle. Thats not counting the Cy Young award.

Yeah. Cleveland went 8 out of 10 in the first decade, 1901 to 1910

Well Earl Averill broke the MVP streak for the Yankees in 1937.
Then they start another one in 1938. Greenberg hit 57 homers in 1938. So i thought he would get the MVP. Instead George Selkirk hit 46 homers to win the MVP. |
