Here is the Bronze .272 standings for anybody interested. Asheboro, Daytona Beach and Ozark are in the AC and New York and Philly are in the NC. Nobody is in the same division.

Interesting... like B272, D373 has all five teams spread out, with three of us in the AC and two in the NC. Also nobody is in the same division. It is at least conceivable that we could have five division leaders heading into the playoffs this year.
In addition, checking the AC, at least, there are no whales at all, not even the Baluga variety, so competition should be much easier than last year.

Monday morning and that mean I'm excited to see the start of another season with my bestest baseball buddies.
----- Salem Witches are sitting more or less steady from last season and just trying to bank points for high-profile acquisition later in the season or for next season. After all, my last two big money players have worked out great - a Mendoza line shortstop and .500 pitcher - so why not keep the magic going? ----- Arkham Horrors are now 100% themed with players from 1900-1939. I think they should do well enough, but we'll just have to see. I replaced Gil Hodges at first base with the theme-appropriate Hank Greenberg and brought in Johnny Mize as a DH. Fingers crossed. ----- The non-compliant London Rippers are still 2 starting pitchers away from being an all Smith and Jones team. I have a stupid-high bid out on a 52-point Sheldon Jones, which would leave me with only 1 slot to fill. My current rotation is Randy Jones, Sam Jones, Hilton Smith, and two Johnsons (Josh and Brian). Obviously, the Johnsons have to go. My bullpen doesn't have anyone I can use as a starter because they all have low stamina. Does anyone know of any other Smith/Jones starters?

Looking at the schedules for the five "Our League" teams in B272...pretty slim pickings after some rotten luck with the randomizer.
Asheboro Road Dogs: 7 Home, 6 Away Daytona Beach Pickleballers: 9 Home, 8 Away New York Patriots: 6 Home, 6 Away Ozark Bobcats: 6 Home, 11 Away Philadelphia Patriots: 2 Home, 5 Away The title race this season will be a 4 horse race, as due to not meeting the 10 game requirement, the Philadelphia Patriots will not be eligible for the championship. |

Updated my post on the previous page, adding the 3 teams I left out of silver. Guess I'd better check Annandale's friend list again. Thx Jason

Hmm, I made a friends list for the Victoria Vikings and submitted, not sure why they were left out of the Iron Our League. Will hopefully get it next year.
Last year was pretty good for the Green Lake Cowboys, as an up-and-down season culminated in pushing past a couple of teams in the postseason, and losing to the eventual champions. Wade Boggs won the 4th straight batting title for the Cowboys, all having been won by different players. That's the funny thing about a high BABIP team, there's a new hero every year. Wade Boggs had the highest AVG, OBP, and WAR in the league, and won the Silver Slugger and Gold Glove for 3B. Despite this he was robbed of the MVP honours from someone with a higher OPS+. Although he had a great season, I've put Boggs on the auction market to accommodate a lineup shuffle. So pick him up if you want a guy equipped with a few accolades. |

More proof that it's the system shoving us into a random Iron for the first season out of EP. If we both had done that, the odds of us being the mistake is incredibly low. Also, the fact that we also ended up in a different league between us two further proves my theory. Oh well, we have one year to prepare our Vikings and mongolian invasion(although I am leaning toward a world team now so "mongolian" might not be the best term). I guess I have to apoligize ...
My team was the winningest team in the Iron League the past two seasons, winning 103 and 113 games but lost in the Division Round both times ... and not getting promoted

I have a theory that you need a sufficient number of two-way connections to get put into a league with other people. So even if the two new guys friended everyone, if not enough people friended them back they wouldn't get "sucked into" the right league. Nevertheless, everyone be sure to check your settings to make sure we don't have this happen again next week! |

yeah, it's fun to see those overall totals climb on the long term rivalries.... after this season, Annandale will become the team Waffletown has faced off against the most (51 games in 7 seasons)

Silver is beginning to look like why I wanted to join.
We have some more teams that will make it up here before too many of us ever get to Gold. It is only going to get better as the year progresses and Our League finds its optimal level.

All 36 Accounted For
I believe the theory above about the first assignment to Iron is correct, because they were the only two teams not assigned to I171, although Motown did make it into Our League out of entry last week. Who can say?
Before I go to work putting together the S278 schedule I just wanted to put up the division assignments for the other Our League teams. By the way, Sabakon's idea of the + is really nice. Hopefully everyone adopts it. As I said before, you may have to add it at the beginning of each season, though. My Asylum logo had to again be replaced by the newer version this week. The Division assignments, not including Youngstown and Victoria: D373 Green Lake, AC East Transylvania, NC Central Seattle, AC Central Battery Point, AC West Aina Haina, NC East I171 Mudville, AC Central Motown, NC West Frankenthal, AC West Gotham, AC West Fancher Creek, AC Central Stephensville, AC Central Arkham, NC Central B272 New York, NC West Daytona Beach, AC East Ozark, AC West Philadelphia, NC East Asheboro, AC Central G305 Kaneohe, AC West Ewa Beach, NC East Harlem, NC West CliffMarkle, AC East Luchenbach, AC Central (with Waylon and Willie?) I will post the division assignments for S278 with the schedule. Later. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 05-13-2019 at 05:29 PM. |

Schedule for 278 - 2026
Sadly, we went down from last year's 392 Our League games to 346. Still wish OOTP's schedule application could figure out that 12 teams divided by 6 divisions should yield two each. Two interesting things I noticed while putting this together (I'm sure there are other quirks) is that Bluffton season ends with 12 OL games, Sanguine has 18 straight OL games, and Terra Incognita has a stretch of 31 straight OL games. Uh, guess that's three things. Some of these games are already played. Here it is:
Annandale, AC Central - 29 Home (H); 25 Away (A) Asylum, NC West - 27 H; 30 A Bluffton, AC East - 36 H; 34 A Cooper, NC East - 20 H; 18 A Palolo, NC Central - 14 H; 18 A Port Ruppert, AC East - 33 H; 34 A Sanguine, AC West - 33 H; 30 A Salem, NC West - 30 H; 31 A Shasta, AC East - 34 H; 33 A Waffletown, AC Central - 28 H; 29 A Terra Incognita, AC West - 33 H; 32 A Wheatland, NC West - 29 H; 32 A Best of luck to all Our League teams this year. Since my three teams are all in silver, consider this my annual plea for stats sent to kidheckett@gmail.com. Thanks. All time records should be up by Wednesday or Thursday. |

Yes, I completely agree that adding the + to the team's abbreviations helps A LOT when looking at the schedule. I added it last year, so my abbreviation is BP+. I did not have to change it again this year... it still shows BP+
