Much the same. I was about .500 in Diamond. The only change I made was swapping in McReynolds for Kiermaier. Walked away with 3 GGs (Aparicio, Pillar, McReynolds).

Been toying with the idea of adding Chet Lemon (CF) and Andrew Jones (RF) through the auction house but was trying to keep this a ftp team. Was by far and away the best defensive team with a +101 ZR.

Is there a way that you make your players better defensively than identical players playing the same position on different teams?

The players that you see that are better didn't start that way. You have to play them at that position and their defense rating will gradually go up as they learn the position. It takes time.

Yes I realize that. I'm just asking how you get your fully trained Simmons at 2B to beat all of the other fully trained Simmons at 2B for the gold glove. Or how you get your Aparicio to beat all the other Aparicios.

Ah. That is completely random IMO. Some say having pitchers that don't strike out a lot of guys helps get you more glove awards.

Last year I got 8, but I just logged in today and didn't get the picture. Only one I missed was SS, Aparicio hasn't gotten my one since 2031. My team that got it was Benito Santiago (C), Brandon Belt (1B), Rookie Tulo (2B), Simmons (3B), Andre Dawson (LF), Ken Griffey Jr. (CF), Pillar (RF), and Gaylord Perry (P). Not sure how I could manage to get that last one, Aparicio had 29.4 ZR and 1.107 EFF on 720 chances, but then again I didn't see the guy who took it from me. Overall, we went 90-72 to take second in the division but didn't qualify, and allowed exactly 502 runs again. I did score 22 fewer runs, but hopefully I can work it back this year. Jimmie Foxx as a DH carries my team offensively, otherwise I don't think I would be doing so hot lol
