You might be bad luck
![]() Just kidding. I'm under zero illusions. We're not good enough to even think about promotion. Even with my all-gold rotation and some of the better silvers in my bullpen it's never going to completely work out until I get the ballpark factors absolutely 100% correct for this team, which isn't happening anytime soon. Get me 82 wins for the season and another 2,000+ points the rest of the way and I'll be able to keep adding and eventually be a threat to go up and begin my vicious cycle of being a yo-yo Silver/Gold team. Congrats though

He is most likely going to find his way into the auction house.

![]() I can understand the logic though...that's potentially a lot of points to upgrade your team. Now if only I could get that kind of luck ![]() EDIT: Decided to pull a pack just to continue my misery...but this one's not so bad. Got 83 A-Rod. Just wish he wasn't a strikeout machine. Otherwise, decent DH for this level. Don't think he's gonna be able to help our league-worst OBP though. EDIT 2: Pulled live Javier Baez on my Mets team. Hoping to sell quickly so I can replace the horrible Kevin McReynolds (.189 average, can't keep that in my lineup) Last edited by Magus978; 06-12-2019 at 11:17 PM. |

Another month has passed in S272. Here is our latest recap.
AC East: The Salem Witches continue to be in the top spot in the division. They further extended their lead (+1). Harlem Hatchets are now 5 games behind and tied for the second wild card spot. AC Central: Asylum Keepers have been pushed further back. After being back 7 games last month, they are now 13 games behind the division leader. AV West: Janesville Onyx are still leading the division but lost some ground to the non-OL Chi-Town Railers. Both the Bluffton Boomerangs and Port Ruppert Mundys fell further behind in the division and wild card race. Hopefully the Boomerangs can fight for the second wild card spot (currently 4 games behind). NC East: The two top teams swapped positions. The Palolo Puppies took the division lead and pushed the Sanguine Classics into the second spot (3 games behind). Most of the losses for the Classics came in the middle of the month in a home series against the non-OL Stumptown Loggers. Kiki Cuyler from the Loggers went 3 for 6, 3 for 4, and 3 for 6 in three games and brought home 7 players (RBI). Wow. On a more positive note, the Classics continue to lead the league in Runs and Batting Average thanks to a very offense friendly ballpark. The New York Patriots continue to be 4-5 games back but are only 2 games behind in the wild card race. Good luck tomorrow. NC Central: The Asheboro Road Dogs suffered a lot of losses this month and fell from 5 games back in the division to 13 games behind the division leader. This also took them out of the wild card race. NC West: Our own Seattle Endless Summer team continues to lead the division by 4-5 games and the entire league in ERA and Defense. Most of the losses (3 of 4) came during the middle of the month in an away series against the Patriots. Fortunately, the Endless Summer team was able to win all 3 games at home against the Patriots a few days later. Both teams battled back and forth and 5 of the 7 games were decided by just 1-2 Runs. Other news: 4 of the top5 AC Batters competing for the Batting title are OL teams. On the pitching side, Perfect Walter Johnson (from the Harlem Hatchets) leads the league in most stats.

Nice pull! However, as much as I'm happy for you, it stirred up thoughts of, "Why not?" Thankfully, I still have points in PT 19 to pull a few packs and show me the folly of abandoning my so far patient approach. Seeing that however, makes me dream of a perfect Koufax, or Gibson, or Mays, or Ruth... You still have a tough choice. A staff ace or a half-dozen (or more) new players. On second thought, I think you're right to put him up. Here's hoping you get a boatload for him. |

Seattle Comes Back to the Pack a Little
The Endless Summer played .500 ball yesterday to tighten up the S272 race, as Bluffton made a move to challenge.

One of My Teams Did Something Right
By not playing at all, Terra Incognita floated into first in G339. My main reason for re-posting, however, is to correct Annandale's record. I pasted over an old standings file, and forgot to replace their losses from a previous season.

Holy smokes, that's a great card.
I understand wanting to auction it off. But man, would it be tempting to use that card. Did I mention I did my Challenge mode on Tuesday and the best thing I got was, uh, uh.... maybe a historical bronze? I think you stole my luck for the week!! Last edited by Charlatan; 06-13-2019 at 07:05 AM. |

Can you find a way to replace my losses from THIS season (with wins)? We are having trouble beating our fellow OL teams!

In I243 the Melaka Armada had a 10-0 OL day yesterday. I was working on updating the standings based on yesterdays post but they are off by 2 games somewhere (141 wins, 139 loses) so I am going to recheck from the beginning a bit later this morning

My hitters aren't hitting this season....
Most years, the bunnies offense just keeps goin' and goin'. Even our first year in perfect, we had a team ba of .306 (this is by getting players with the highest contact AND having a stadium with 1.1 factor on hits from left and right, and 1.5 on doubles and triples).
This year our battery seems to have run down. We have a .267 team BA (ninth in the league). Mighty Rod Carew (89) is hitting .242, while Sonny Burgess is hitting .218 Our record has tanked big time. Of course, this is with half the teams in the league being whales... but still!

Goddarn it, I was sort of sad a day ago because I had upgraded my SP lineup and the result did not improve early on. I did not check the team until right after I see your message and I fear I might have pulled a "Magus978" on my team. |

Seems like I'm wrong though, since we're apparently calling failure pulling a Magus.
