Thank you, but hopefully that won't be necessary. Perhaps someone will either post them or send me the team vs team at kidheckett@gmail.com. Don't worry about putting together the standings. I can do that easy enough. As long as we don't miss the standings, the crown can get awarded later. It's too bad the Knights couldn't catch that Berlin squad. I was hoping Pablo would help you out. Of course, your team didn't do its part, dropping the last two games of the year at home, 6-4 and 6-3.Texas won a play-in game to get the wild card. Iron league update:
Steelport breezes to an easy Iron league OL crown with a solid 18-7 record. in the big picture... 3 of the 4 OL teams made the post season... Steelport stumbled down the stretch which allowed division rival Yokohama to pass them and push Steelport into the wild card game (they will face a formidable opponent in 103-win Westchester); Stephensville held off the charge from Westchester and secured the NC Central crown with an impressive 106-56 record. On the AC side, O'Fallon led the AC Central from wire-to-wire and finished with a best-ever 113-49 record. |

Perfect league update:
Victoria cruises to the Perfect league OL crown with their 29-14 record. in the big picture.... 7 of the 10 playoff teams are OL members. In the NC East, it took 163 games to determine the division champ, with Cigar City slipping past California 5-4 to claim the title and push California to the wild card game. In the AC Central, after leading the division for most of the year, Bold Strategy stumbled down the stretch which allowed Fargo to squeak past to claim the division and send the Cottons to the wild card game. |

No Sophomore Jinx for Steelport in OL I262
The Saints engineered a stellar turnaround form their debut last season to capture the iron crown.
Fan club president, Archie Manning III, addressed a cheering throng on Basin St, "We took our lumps last year, but we looked at them as lessons to be learned. Our "study" paid off." He also took the time to tip his cap to the O'Fallon Owls, "We're very happy the Owls could get some OL games on their schedule so the season would have a quorum. We know they weren't eligible, but we'll be sending them a nice basket of field mice to snack on. Just a little thank you." |

correct, Green Lake will head back to Diamond.... and according to the Diamond league update, a minimum of 3 OL teams will head up to Perfect, so the OL ranks at the top tier will expand even more. |

Diamond Playoff Update - Cincinnati and Shasta both advance out of the Wild Card.
A minimum of 3 promotions, could be 4 if Shasta does the business against non-OL competition. The non-OL team had the best record in the league, but Shasta is a damn good club that had a better record than some division champs.

That time of year when the Southpaws head South
Well, it's the playoffs, and that means that the Southpaws are ready to take their annual swan dive... they can beat everyone during the season (record this year of 104-58 was 8 games higher than any other team in p431), but come postseason, it's always time to let somebody else win for a change ;-)

Another Call for Bronze 272
It seems that seven OL teams made the PT playoffs, with 5 remaining after the wild card games which featured the Redmond Birds knocking out New Zealand and Melaka losing to a non OL team. There will be no nobody heading back to iron and, at this point, at least one heading to silver.
Be nice to award the bronze crown. |

Daytona Beach Makes PT an all OL Affair
The Pickleballers crushed their non OL opponent, 12-3, in the wild card to make the playoffs an OL tournament. This means at least four will be heading to gold next year.

I don't necessarily mind, although Victoria has a black and gold logo now. I think I sent it to you, let me know if not.

Iron playoff update:
Steelport moves on to the LCS, while Stephensville and O'Fallon fail to get the job done (personal rant: what's the point of winning 113 games during the regular season if you can't win a freakin' playoff series? Bah!!) |

Oops!
I spent 9,999 on Bernie Carbo this morning to pIay LF, but forgot about him later on, when I set my rotation to four pitchers.
Well, I guess there's next year.I have to got out, and I was hoping that Port Ruppert would defend the honor of OL by closing out the last non-OL team in the playoffs before I leave. No such luck. They seem to be on their way to blowing a 2-0 series lead. Hopefully game five at home will be enough. Here's one last look at the playoff tree. Hope there's some bronze results when I return. Good luck to all. |
