20 cards vs 21 cards

thinking ahead. of the 4300 cards, stands to reason many of the cards in 21 will represent the same player cards that are in 20.

If the ratings change...are you going to tell us why?

When it comes to quality of card and in game production, I would think my 100 Ted Williams will play pretty much the same in 21 as it did in 20. Or, are they going to change the PT game engine (and not ratings) to get different results?

Or both.

Im going to want to know on both elements

I would think, logically, that ANY change, whether by coding of ratings changes would be made to improve accuracy - and accuracy is measured based on calculated expectations against other cards/players. If Ted Williams (for example only) was downgraded 2 points on contact, I would assume that was because his PT20 numbers were coming out too high.

That being said, I don't think it's reasonable for the OOTP team write a thesis on what changes they made and why. All that would do is start a discussion on this board that no one wins.

I'll be talking on the PT Road To Release stream a little bit on our thought process and changes to creating/rating cards this year

Butters, I don't think the cards carry over. Your 100 TW will remain in PT20 and you will have to go get another one in PT21 if you can.
