I get removed from my national team

Why do I keep getting removed from my national team (Canada) after the 2020 World Championship is over? Once that tournament is over, I am suddenly listed as unemployed.

I play this savegame only with the national team, no club team.

"Cannot be fired" is active.

I do not have the same problem in my other two savegames (one is club + national team; the other only U20 national team). In the latter one, I could autoplay through 12 months without problem.

Countries that typically change their senior national team management between major tournaments (only Canada and the US, if I remember correctly) will release you after that tournament. You'll still be eligible to get the job again, but they do the search process before every new tournament.

Yeah, I guessed it would be this reason (after I made the post).

If anyone has the same problem: I think the best way to get the job back is to set your nationality to that country and give yourself reputation Legendary. Otherwise, you only get offers from Kyrgystan and Bulgaria.

I'd take this away in FHM7. Keep me as the national coach. Yes, this is more realistic, but if I want realistic, I can retire after the tournament and wait for a new offer.

Either this, or let us take over national teams within a savegame, just like it's possible for club teams. This was also possible in Eastside Hockey Manager, and that game is old.

There is no downside to my two options. Everyone can handle it how they want. With the current option, however, you are limited.
