Newbie: Playing Challenge - 1970 AAA
New to OOTP.
Playing 1970 challenge as the AAA manager of the Richmond Braves. I am playing most games instead of running the sim. Am learning to evaluate player ratings, taking pitches, and making defensive adjustments. However, I am losing far more than I win. Any advice for how to get better when you are managing at AAA? Is the goal to simply build up experience so I will get an MLB offer? |

Managing at the minor level probably has zero to do with being a gm of a team.
Now if are just looking to manage then I guess it could help you before you become a mlb manager. It'll be personal. Me personally I don't like managing at all I like the gm. I manage some games but it's usually to see a player that I moved in his debut. Or a streak. Maybe a rival. But I probably play out less then 2 dozen games a year. So it really comes down to what you like. But you can't get better in the minors because the gm controls your roster. If you can't make the roster better then you'll never really be better. |
