Crazy Schedule

Running my first season, and first time user. What is with the crazy scheduling. It's almost impossible to play a realistic simulation. Playing the Blue Jays and I have 40 days straight to start the season. Two straight times I have 4 doubleheaders in a row! What the heck! Along with two other doubleheaders in the 40-day span. That's 50 games in 40 days. I'm pretty sure that would never happen in a real schedule. (sarcasm). My 40 man roster is maxed, the handful of players that can be optioned are all exhausted too. In fact, I have no one that is not "exhausted" on the entire roster. Everyone is getting hurt, and I can't win a game. This feels like an issue for a game that says it's a realistic simulation. What gives, am I missing something?

What schedule are you using? Is it one that the game created?

Yes, I just used default settings. As far as I can tell, the game set the schedule up as if the season started the day I started the game. Which was April 26th. Seems all the games that should have started earlier in the month were just added on top of existing games. So far, I've had 3 or 4 stretches of 4 or 5 double headers in a row. I'm at the all star break right now. it's been an incredible struggle getting through those games.

How is your league set-up? Are you doing a major-league format (30 teams in two leagues) or is it a custom format? Can you go into the schedule window and see if you can find the name of the schedule you're using?

I was using the default setting for MLB 30 teams two leagues. I didn't check the schedule when I first started, and realize now that it compressed the current year's schedule into a "real time" schedule based on the date that I started. So about a month and a half of games had to be rescheduled as double headers. Year two (2021 season) the schedule is spread out and is normal.
