Random Debut Note
Hi, I starting a random debut game as late as possible (2018) as I wanted a high cap. When I got to 2019, no draft took place in June or July. There were a large number of 17 year olds (and ten 18 year olds) in the world who all appear to be fictional? But there was no draft.
Now maybe random debut isn't meant to go past 2019 being a historical game. Which is fine, just thought I'd mention it. I usually start in 2005. I like having a salary cap but the low 39 mill presents a nice drafting challenge if you get a good batch of players. |

Yeah, the problem is the age distribution in random debut mode is closely tied to the actual number of players in the database born in that year. It leaves the draft pool in later years very thin (or possibly empty), and the later you start the more noticeable it is. I think we'll have to tweak the random distribution a bit to ensure a minimum number of players per birth year.

This is 100% self-serving and I'm not sure how realistic it is, but I would love it if it was possible to 'stretch' the random debuts out over a longer period of time by limiting the number of players and draft rounds generated or turning the random debut feature on/off periodically on July 1st. I know they are different games but I always utilized those features in OOTP.
