So, what do you want to do? You want to change the /data folder for the stand-alone version? Where do you have your /data? In "Documents"?
all of my data is located in the directory that my 4th and 5th screenshot shows. It's the same place that steam has always pointed to along with every other standalone ootp game that i've ever had. I just want the '21 standalone to also point there

okay so I was saving my game and while it was saving the game crashed. I loaded up the game and the game file is missing. I went into the saved game folder and it is there. I restarted the game but it still doesn't show up in the load games as well my back up for that game is also not showing up under backups either even though the game file shows up when I go to trouble shooting then saved games. I tried to follow these steps but under application support any of the com.ootp files doesn't show, but when I go to the application scripts folder only com.ootpdevelopments.ootp21 & com.ootpdevelopments.ootp21macqlm are there and they have nothing in them. In my application support folder there is a folder for out of the park developments but ootp21 is not in there. this is really frusterating me because I can't even figure out if the game file even finished saving when it crashed.

This exact thing happened to me yesterday evening and I am in the exact same position today. Frustrating as hell. Created a new league to see what files are in the new league folder that are not in the old league after the crash this is what I have.

There are a lot of dat files missing in that folder.
The last complete version of your saved game could be in the "auto_save" folder. Please have a look at that folder. If there are .dat files in them, copy *all of them* into the Orioles.lg folder.

Waiting a month for an answer is code for "We don't know how to help you, but thanks for the $39.99".

jpeters1734 sorry please help me to understand the problem. You have two different setups on the computer and want them both to use the same folder? If that is the case then I think it will not work, because the stand-alone version is "Apple sandboxed" and I believe (but never tested it) that it does not easily has access to folders outside of the "sandbox".

Everything was working correctly until this past Friday after I downloaded our leagues current file. When I opened the game my entire league file was gone from my saved games. The current bundle finder I have is com.ootpdevelopments.ootp21macqlm and it still isn't working. I repurchased the game and reinstalled it with no luck. Im out of ideas and I am not really a tech guy so I need all the help I can get. What is the next step I should take?

You need to follow all the instructions in the initial post, the most important of which is that you need to transfer your old saved game you want to import into the folder OOTP21 is currently using for its saves (which you find by going to settings > troubleshooting > open folder containing saved games).

Doing that gets around the Mac sandbox limitations and will allow the game to find your save when you try to import/load it.

This is where my file is being saved. Its also the current pathway that is given in the instructions above. The league isnt coming up still.

I'm wondering if this is a problem for users who bought the game through Steam. I purchased the game through the Mac App Store so hopefully I'll be ok when I download the latest patch.

I bought the game from the store. I never had this problem. The game is showing me that my league file is being pulled from the right spot. I do not know what else do

jc21, in your screenshot I see a folder SSG-Baseball.lg. Is that the league that you want to open? If you open that folder, what's in it?

The scrollbar at the bottom of the Finder dialog in you screenshot: move it to the left. Are there other folders "com.ootpdevelopments.ootp21..."? Open the other folder, navigate down to OOTP21....saved_games. Is your league folder there? Copy it and insert it into the original saved_games folder.

It's ALWAYS good to make backups! Just open the saved games folder via Settings->Troubleshooting tab, copy all folders from the saved game folder to your Documents folder and you have a copy of the league which you could use in case an update changes the paths for you (which should not happen)

What happens when you try to open it in OOTP with "Load Game"?
If the .lg folder is in the wrong saved game folder, just copy the whole .lg folder into your saved_games folder. You can find it in the Settings dialog->Troubleshooting tab->Open folder which contains saved games.
