Issues with Face Gen

The Face Gen in my saves is not working correctly. When starting a new game, teams will have players w/o facegen. I've tried regenerating pictures, new fictional picture, auto-reload for such players under their Picture Menu dropdown and it still doesn't load properly.

For players (usually on the AI-controlled Calgary Flames) that do start off the save with a working facegen, if I hit regenerate, new fictional picture or auto-reload, their facegen immediately becomes corrupted as well.

I am playing without any mods, 2560x1600, full screen. Other resolutions and windowed mode does not solve the issue.

I have plenty of ram 32gb and hard disk space as well. Video card is Nvidia GTX1080.

So I created a new save and now every team and player has working Face Gen except for the Calgary Flames. And when I goto Regenerate new pictures for each Flames player, it creates a working facegen.

We ran into this during testing and were able to prevent it from happening most of the time, but the fix doesn't seem to work 100% of the time - we had one report last week, and now yours.

Usually it seems to occur spontaneously while a game is underway, but if it's creating new games like that for you, that may be a clue as to what's going on. We did add some extra debugging code to our trace files to try to find the source of the issue, so if you can send me that it may help us figure out what's still causing it. (To get that, from the start screen, go to settings, then troubleshooting and then click on "Enable Debug Trace". Then exit the game, restart, go back to troubleshooting and click on Open Trace File and send me the text you see there.)

So continuing on the same save file and before activating "Enable Debug Trace"...I found that 1/2 of the Detroit Red Wings didn't have face gen.
Regenerating the faces didn't work until I exited the game completely, reloaded the save, and now regenerating works.

Since I am aware of the Enable debug trace feature now, I will do my best to recreate the bug and send the .txt whenever it occurs immediately.

In there meantime, here is what the trace looks like at the moment.

Okay...

Restarted my OS via clean boot and went straight to FHM to create a new save. Every team had face gen.

I then exited FHM program completely, loaded it up again, and then created a new save. There is no facegen for any team. This is the worst that I have seen it. Regenerating doesn't work. Here is the trace file immediately after.

Thanks. Sounds like that's slightly different than what we've seen before, the earlier issue seemed to be permanent in a save once it started, reloading wouldn't help.

Following immediately from above. Relaunched FHM and loaded the same save with the corrupted face gen. It appears that some faces are now showing. Each team has around 30-50% of face gen. Regenerating works. Here is the trace..

An update on this. I think I figured out the problem. Setting my antivirus protection to exclude fhm6.exe solved it. I haven't had any issues in over 24 hours. Every face gen is loaded without issue and they're loaded quickly. Before, it would stutter a bit when scrolling the mouse through the names for the popups.

I've had this same problem and setting the AV exclusion (Windows Defender) seems to have helped. I am in the off-season now and will update if there is still a problem in the regular season.

The facegen for my team is working OK, but other teams' pictures are still messed up. I uploaded a save yesterday for a different issue (Oz-TooManyBack2Backs.lg.zip), but this problem should be evident in it. The Carolina Hurricanes' goalies show the issue.
