Angels superfan Tom Duino came through with a team-issue glossy of the elusive Gino Cimoli, who closed out his career in 1965 with four games with the Angels. He was released May 14th.

Sadly, this isn't Black with the M's. It's an image of him in 1981 sure enough, but with the Mariners' Eastern League AA affiliate the Lynn Sailors. See attached image. I kills me to say this, because I was excited when I first saw this, but Black in a Mariners' uni is still on everyone's list.

Facepack upgrade of the same image, which pictures Lynch with the 1883 Gallaudet University football team. Lynch played 1 game for the 1884 Chicago White Stockings and was one of the first deaf players.

I like this image of Bud Black on the San Jose Missions because I can crop it to make it look like he's on the Mariners for the purpose of my custom cards. I know he's a year or two younger here, and the hat logo is incorrect for the year he debuted in the MLB (it should be the trident with star behind it), but it works for me for now:

It's been about four years since I've posted, but I come on to check every so often looking for pictures for my Chicago Cubs Project I've been working on for about a decade. I'm trying to find color images of the following players from the late 1970's & 1980's in a Cubs Uniform:

Ron Meredith
Dave Beard
Mike Mason

Here another option for Scott I created for my 1978 project, and I also have this of Krug (don't remember where I got it)

Don't know why Kilgus would be a difficult find in a Cubs uniform, but here he is on a 1989 Donruss card.

Not sure where I obtained this photo of Meredith -- probably it was displayed on eBay.

His card is in the 1990 Topps Debut set and it shows him in a Cubs uniform. Just Google it and you can purchase the card on the secondary market.

Mike Mason is shown in a Cubs uniform on the 1988 Topps card #87. Just Google it and you can purchase it on the secondary market.

When I create my custom cards, I try to look for photos that haven't been used on cards before. But, in a pinch, I'll retool a card. Thank you!

Your mention of Brace reminds me there hasn't been any mention or discussion of the fate of his collection in some time on this board - any updates on the status of these images?

The company that it was reported acquiring all these would not return calls when I tried back in February. Shortly thereafter, the world went nuts and I did not follow up. But there have been a ton of Brace images, both autographed and not, being sold and auctioned all over the places. Since the first of the year, I have pulled over 1,000 color images that were labeled as Brace or strongly met the Brace profile. Still trying to find a sharp Ron Herbel Mets though!
