What happens to old boxscores?

I'm not new to the game, but what I am new to is playing more than one season with a given version (I manage with no GM functions so I play them one game at a time). So I have literally no experience playing multi-season saves and, as importantly, accessing old box scores and game logs.

I've got a fictional season I am also writing about in these forums and my games are passing much faster than my writing is progressing. When I end the current season and start the next one, will my old boxscores from prior seasons be saved and if so, where would I find them? I know records will be kept and I've got all the stats set to maximum, so hopefully that will help save them.

Thanks in advance!

I don't do fictional but I would guess it's not any different than historical: Once you move to, say, the 2010 season, as new boxscores are generated they will use the same naming convention and will, one-by-one, replace the boxscores from the 2010 season. So your options are to either 1) use the (somewhat cumbersome and space-hogging, IMO) almanac feature, or 2) copy & save the boxscores you want to keep.

As long as it's covered in the Almanac, I can deal. Thanks very much!

I copy the entire .lg folder after every season...that way I don't lose any history. If you want to see something I just load up the year I need
