A large part of things is the "tone" of the complaint. The original post (heck, the title of this thread) is immediately combative.
This community reacts pretty well to constructive criticism of the game, but if things feel like an attack the community will also circle the wagons. Multiple posters have agreed that this game does have some potential issues that could have led to this outcome that could use tweaks (namely, low minors rosters having enough pitchers to avoid an entire staff becoming exhausted in some situations). However, there wasn't even enough information posted within this complaint for us to look into any possible causes. If you want to help make the game better by pointing out its' flaws, come with data. Otherwise, you are going to have a lot of trouble defending your position. |

No simulator is perfect, I don’t think you need to make that strawman here. No one is saying that.
What people are saying is that since this is a simulator based off of real life, and since unlike real life there are a finite amount of possibilities not infinite, given enough time everything can and will happen. |

i mean... it's the GCL lololol.
But for real, use low level historical minors with caution maybe? What other game has that option even lol. If you give the game workable parameters things tend to mirror reality quite well. Just because an option comes with the game you can still expect reasonable tweaks being necessary with something as unused as the 2005 GCL. I can't imagine firing this game up and getting frustrated about low level ball replays from 2005 and using it as an example of the game being broken. |

Hey that's me. Unrelated to the thread, but I often wonder how much magic I have missed when I sim 200 years of a fictional league, and promptly delete it because of some setting I forgot to change initially.

The most unrealistic thing I see in the OP screenshot is the Mets sitting at 35-16 and in 1st

So I find this a counter info. Should one put limits on A-level and below for som 30-40 and perhaps keep lowest levels No Limits to get around this odd resulting and that the AI will and can use players better. I always had the idea that No Limits for the AI ment just that. If so we would not have crazy results as these because limit amount of players. Still the age factor and Pro Service time I think is vital on the Rookie leagues. I've seen +30 y players with +6-7 years of time dropped to the Rookie league by the AI if not controlled. This is the first time I read something from Head people on this, but it has been countless of threads about limits and restriction. Maybe a much much detailed info in the manuals (or have I missed it) what types of limits and such. Surely the testers and development folks got tons of numbers on what limits to use. This info have indeed help hugely, but appreciate even more numbers. |
