Unable to open SQLite Database

Anyone else had this error? If so how do you fix.

Also none of my draft or transaction logs are available. Not sure if the two are linked.

You can get this if a league has been corrupted.

The thing to do would be to try to restore from the autosave function.

You should be able to restore from the autosave function. Instructions on doing that follow:

To restore from the automatic backup, do the following:

1) Open the game and on the start screen, click on Settings.

2) Now click on the tab "Troubleshooting".

3) Click "Open folder containing saved games".

4) Now open up the league folder you're wanting to restore.

5) Then select all of the .dat files in the folder and back them up (just in case) by copying them to a temporary folder or creating a zipped file with them

6) Open the folder called "auto-save".

7) In there, select all of the ".dat" files and copy them to the league folder (the parent of the current folder) overwriting all of the ".dat" files in the league folder.

Now start the game and load your league.

Just experienced the same issue, and the steps above did not resolve it. I'll point out the following:

1) When I first noticed the error message, I expected the game to either crash or provide some other message after I clicked OK. Instead, after clicking OK the game proceeded to run. So I let it. It wasn't until a sim-year had passed that the message re-appeared, so only at that time did I follow the steps above... So maybe that explains why the fix above did not solve the issue?

2) So the game will continue to run, but I, too, notice that I no longer have transaction logs.

3) My sim league in question is merely a quick test league. I've invested little time in it and I don't have a problem deleting it and starting over. So if the best advice is "don't worry about it unless it happens on another sim league," then I'm fine with that.

The steps above will only resolve things if the autosave is not also corrupt as well. For some issues/crashes it's possible both the normal save and the autosave could be corrupt, in which case the league is probably lost for good unless you have a third backup you created yourself.

Understood. And not really issue since it was just a "let it run" test league that can easily be replicated.

Question: Is the presence of this corrupt league more-likely an indication of more corruption to come in my upcoming leagues, or just a one-off? Or would it be hard to say?

Hard to say. Completely depends on the reason for the corruption, and that's almost impossible to determine after the fact.

My league was a historical-with-minors that started in 1901. I had let it run untouched & overnight with an auto-play date set to probably 1995 or so. The next morning the game was not running on my machine. A crash perhaps. So re-started and found that the league had run through, IIRC, maybe 1930. I loaded it up from there and let it run, and saw that I got the error message around 1940, again around 1950.

So perhaps it has to do with running a league - especially a big one (with all the historical minors) - continuously...
