Minor League Assignments

I tried this in the main discussion but got nothing so thought I'd try here. I did a major reorganization, moving teams from the Japanese League (fictional) to the majors. Everything worked fine until opening day, then all the teams seem to have lost the ability to arrange their minor leagues. Players who are almost major-league ready are assigned to A ball. 18 year olds are in AAA. And this seems to be true for all 30 teams.
I did the reorganization once, noticed the problem during the following year, then reverted to a save from before the reorg, worked it even more carefully, and now have the same result. I can put players in their proper spots, but they'll go right back to weird.
Any ideas?

What are the .pcm's for each league? Looks to me like maybe they are higher in the lower leagues and that's getting the game to treat the lower leagues as higher leagues.

Game Settings > League Settings > Players... right hand side of the screen. Separate for each of your leagues, which can be chosen in the dropdown on the RH side of the screen.

They look right. Rookie League are .600-.500
Short-Season A are .600 or .700
A are .750
AA are .800 and .750
AAA are .800 and .850
Majors are around 1.000 with I guess historical modifications.

It's very inconsistent. Some AAA players are where they should be, but a top 3B prospect who hit .378 at AA last year is assigned to the lower A league, while a 3B with a 7 contact rating (out of 20) who was drafted last year and split the year between SA and A is the AAA starting 3B. It's almost random, but not quite.

Can you post or upload the league files here so we can take a look at them?

Another League Same Problem

I'm trying not to be too negative about this, but I abandoned my prior league because this Minor League Assignment glitch made it so unenjoyable. Now the next league I started has the developed the same basic problem.
This one player sums things up pretty well. A player finishes his Age 26 season splitting between AAA and the majors. Then, for the next two seasons the AI assigns him to Rookie ball. The same thing is happening randomly to top prospects. I basically have to hand-manage my own minor leagues, (I lock all the best prospects to a level.) but the fact that all the other organizations have solid prospects they're assigning to Rookie or SSA, is frustrating.
I've been playing OOTP since 2004 or earlier, but this problem has me more discouraged than anything I've run into. And the fact I uploaded the game files for the one league and never heard back isn't helping.
Anybody have any suggestions on how I can fix this. I know the developers have moved on to the next version, but ...

I did get a chance to check on this, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an easily identifiable issue that's leading to this happening that I can find, so we'll have to have the devs look into things a bit more closely under the hood to see what might be going on.

Hi, I had a look through, and it feels like the global nature of your game is causing some issues with minor league AI in placing players at the correct levels.

It's complicated to explain, but the short answer is if you go through your minor leagues, and change them to be "unknown" league nation rather than USA, then that should greatly help how the AI builds out the minor leagues.

Just curious, is it tied to the player's nationality and the region of the league?

And by the way, initial results look good. Thanks!

It's mostly based on nation. There's a portion where we factor in the regions, too, but more based on league nation. Glad to see things are better
