The CBZ's page on James J. Corbett notes that Corbett, in 1886, used the name Jim Dillon while boxing in Salt Lake City. Since we have an Old George Foreman and a Young George as well as Cassius Clay and the older Muhammad Ali available I thought it might be a fun possibility to do the same for Corbett. After all, Gentleman Jim is a favorite movie of mine. When Iwas a kid I thought Corbett was the best heavyweight ever and that he was managed by Fred Mertz. For any one interested in using the Dillon persona in a uni I made 2 versions using auto generated beginning and pre-prime Corbetts. In the case of the beginning version I tweaked the HP up to 2 to reflect the 3 point punches that were allotted.bThe beginner is a 4 and the pre a 7.

Nice to be back. Working with a new lap top and picked up a new copy of 2.5. Finishing my to do lists took a while but I spent a lot of time on boxrec. Glad the old freezing problem is gone. Will be working on older fighters for the most part and leave active guys in Jackyle's hands. Looked up every fighter in the 1949 Ring Record Book in boxrec and used that as a starting point point for my first to do list with the usual sidetracks involved with boxrec visits. I'm still a sucker for fighters with odd names and will be looking nations, weight classes and eras trying to keep a balance in mind.
