Initial Player Ratings- Same or Vary?

I asked this in the main forum and did not get a response, so I thought that I would try here because I think it a reasonable question and one others must know or at least have interest. Do the initial player ratings for a given league (say, the 2020 MLB baseline) vary around a baseline for each player when a game is started , or are the initial ratings of the players identical every time you start a new game with that season?

I'd guess they were identical, but I don't know for sure

For the current 2020 season for MLB, international leagues etc., the initial ratings are the same each time.

For historical leagues, they will vary depending on exactly which import options you pick (and will even vary slightly even in two leagues with the exact same options due to the import process).
