Sadly, I have had a 6 game road stretch and have not made it back home to play yet. Starting my first game with the new logo. Probably would have been here sooner but... last night as I was loading the 3d file into the game, my computer decided to no longer recognize my SSD with the game on it lol.

So, unplugged everything, moved to different sata and boom, got the SSD to show back up... only a 2 year old SSD so I was hoping it was not toast. Thank God it was not.

So, here we go! firing up the first home game vs the Brewers!

Looks amazing in game except now the dome is missing and it has become and open ball park on both the 1983 and 1996 version. But the Twins logo is totally amazing and looks perfect!

In order to add the logo behind the plate I had to use a full version, not lite. of the park. I just added the logo and did not do anything with the park. Looking at Mikes revised full version of 3/25/2020 which I believe was the base of his lite version, there was not a full done on it either. The overhead view on his original showed the part of the roof and you could not see the field. I change that view so that the field was visible. You can change that back. I may be wrong but I don't think either of these two had full roofs.

This is the 1982-1995 v1_4 that he has in the list for download. Now the original 1996 version, you are correct it was open. I have never used the 1996 one since I used the version for the year I am playing which is 1985. So, didnt notice, until now, that you see clouds during popups, because the 1982 version was closed. As seen in the pictures.

I just didnt know if that was just a layer that was placed on top to enclose it or what... I dont know how the 3d stuff works. I really dont.

The third picture is how I have my camera setup so that I get all the effects of the logo behind the plate almost like watching the game on TV.

So thank you for putting the logos in. It made both the fields look great and you got to learn a new trick, which I hope was easy and gives you more options for customizing more parks now.

Oh the ones in the downloads above are a lite version? what does that mean? What's a lite version and what's a full version?

I just uploaded the latest full version of the metrodomes with the skp files if you feel like doing them again

I lite version is the full version minus the .skp file. It makes a smaller file for faster downloads.

Thanks. I don't see the point in doing them again just to have a full top that has no impact on the game or playing field views.

Then can you explain how I can? I will take a jab at it. I have the file open in sketchup. I have the image on the field and in orientation.

I go and export the file it creates the obj and mlt files but, it wont load in ootp
I have everything in the texture folder.

I am willing to learn so you don't have to do this. I have got this far, what am I doing wrong?

I don't what you did but the batting circle and pitchers mound should not be green. In an earlier post Mike said how to add a .png photo to the field in sketchup. However, it would seem to me that it would be easier to open Mike's updated sketchup(s) and copy the dome and paste it to the one I did.

On second thought, it would be easier to open the park I did and Mike's update then click on the TWINS image behind the plate on mine, the select copy from the top menu then go to Mike's sketchup and select paste in place. That is how I did the second park and it works fine. Then select save first then OBJexporter. If you don't have that on the list under File you need to add that extension. I use Simlabs obj Exporter. If you don't have a obj exporter it will never work, I think. If you get that done and working you will next have to open the mtl file and change to attendance lines to get 3D crowds.

Better yet, open both sketchup files. Select the image on the adion one and click copy.

Go to the other sketchup files and go to edit -> “paste in place” and it should put it exactly in the right place.

That is as long as the two models are located in the exact same spot which they should be

I honestly don't know what I did either. I copied, pasted. that worked. used simlab and exported.... and I got a black stadium. Its like the game didnt accept the textures. I think I will stick to doing jerseys, hats, sounds... at least jersey maker and audicity dont bite back like this program does lol

No problem. Based on what you picture of the field shows I think something happened when you pasted the Twins logo on.

As OOTP has instituted a policy of political censorship I will not be playing their game any more. It has been a pleasure working with all of you. Politics has no place in baseball.
