This is a cosmetic change, but one I feel is important for league history. I'd like to see the game keep track of a team's uniform history so that retired players appear in the correct uniforms in their profiles.

The uniforms in my fictional league are virtually unchanged from when it started almost nine years ago (100+ seasons), and it's because I want the profile pictures of retired players to be historically accurate. I'd love to give my league some uniform updates, but I'm not going to as long as the game uses a team's current uniform when a retired player's profile picture is generated or refreshed.

Just an animation/gameplay suggestion:

When the throw from left field reaches the SS cut-off man before the baserunner even reaches third base — and then the SS just stands there (or throws way too late) as the runner rounds third and scores.

I always imagine that maybe the SS bobbled the ball or froze or had a flashback of playing for the Mets ... but it's still irritating!

There is a thread in the Bug Reports forum where you can report issues you see with the animation.

I like the challenge of warming up relievers but can tiring be disabled? Especially annoying when it happens between innings and the reliever I had warmed up is now tired. Just have "warming up" and "ready." That way I'm not constantly having to get up/sit down my pen.

Yes, I too, would like to see reliever stamina/tiring option for disabling. Ever since the implementation a few versions back, I never could get a "handle" on this. The bullpens in the league struggle at best. The worst being ERA over 8. I have adjusted the stamina and relief modifiers and that has helped but not quite there yet. If I go too high on the relief stamina modifier, then my closers will actually start games and an inferior closer fills in and I am back to square one. I don't want to increase roster sizes or anything like that. Maybe many don't have the same issue but for those of us who do, a disable option would help. There are only so many 9th inning six or so run comebacks that I can take.

See this thread:

For pure realism purposes it should be hardcoded that teams from Bellevue always win against teams from stupid cities like Woodinville and Bothell. Relatedly, if you make a team called Interlake that should always beat everyone including teams named Bellevue (in fact, if there are teams for both Bellevue and Interlake in a league then the game should automatically detect that it’s a KingCo league and make Bellevue suck and also Sammamish and Newport).

12/10 must add

The scheduled in OOTPBB21 ! My team is the L.A. Angels. In 2021 my team had a schedule with 19 games in a row. Does MLB have a rule where teams get a scheduled day off after a certain number of games ? TY

I believe the current agreement between the players association and owners is 21 consecutive games can be played before a day off. However, if there are a ton of games to be made up to do rainouts, etc, there is an agreement where teams can waive that restriction, and play beyond 21.

Also, it seems near the trade deadline I get offers like......Team "A" offers a catcher with 1/2 OF star and they want 2 of my players that are 2 -2 1/2 stars.
This is my 1st version of OOTP..... LOVE IT. Wish the had a NFL simulator.
Welcome to OOTP!

Yea, agree. That would make sense.

Also, one suggestion I would make is in OOTP22, play without the Stars, and go with 80/20 ratings (what the Scouts use).

I use the "auto sit" option (not sure of the correct term). The reliever stops warming before getting tired but is still ready for a few batters. Just drag him back to warm up to find out.

I have a very minor kvetch about the 3D engine. To me, sidearm pitchers and 3/4 pitchers look the same. They both look like they're throwing sidearm. Am I nuts or is that something that needs a tweak?

Where do you see on the player card the throw type of the pitcher? I was surprised to see different animations, but I wasn't sure where that data was coming from.

My current cringe-worthy part of 3D is the bat. It looks like it's floating above the player's hands when you look at it from behind the plate (my preferred pitching view).

Allow to keep never reach Majors on because might be a chance might make it to Majors and let person retire on its own because that's one way Game Exits and saves on its own.

I'm going to go out on a short limb here and predict that OOTP22 will be some kind of a baseball simulator.

I'd like to see actual Grapefruit/Cactus League scheduling for Spring Training.

I would like the game to keep more league records. Such as longest game, win and losing streaks. I have a 25 year fictional league going and if i had my time back i would have kept track of these stats myself. I would be nice know if a team is on for example a 10 game winning steak how far away are they away from the record. Or if a game is heading into the 17th inning. It would be nice to take a quick glance through the history books and see how far away the game is from being the longest ever. That sort of thing.
